Attunement is the process that Gifted must complete so they can travel to distant locations in Istaria. Travel Gates allow quick access to locations, but the Gifted must typically become attuned to their destination before they can travel there. This usually involves visiting the location (by running, or flying for Dragons) and speaking with Gatekeeper at the location. Once attuned to the location, the Travel Gates will let you instantly return there - sometimes for a fee.
